Meditation became a lifeline for me after the loss of my mother. During a period of deep grief and nervous system overwhelm, it was the practice that helped my body feel safe, my mind slow down, and my emotions become manageable again. That lived experience, alongside professional training and years of client work, is the foundation of Ammavaru Wellness, a space offering evidence-led meditation, nervous system support, sound-based relaxation, and chakra-informed reflective practices delivered in a grounded, accessible way.

Today, I work with individuals, groups, and organisations seeking calm, clarity, and emotional regulation in a fast-paced world. My approach blends scientific understanding of meditation and stress with intuitive, trauma-aware practices that support long-term wellbeing. Whether through in-person meditation classes, one-to-one sessions, workshops, guided experiences, or corporate wellbeing programmes, my work is designed to create the conditions for balance, resilience, and meaningful change.

When my mental and physical health started to decline from being stressed and anxious everyday I knew I had to make changes, I came across Selina’s zoom meditation classes 4 months ago and I can see the difference in myself already. I was very anxious to start meditation classes however selina has been very welcoming and supportive throughout my journey. Every weekly class is different, from body scans, chakra meditations and mantras. Now whenever I am feeling stressed I am able to quiet my mind, concentrate on my breath and be in the present moment.

Being totally new to meditation I was apprehensive about starting classes but I’m so glad I did. The sessions are guided by Selina who is always very welcoming and creates the most calming and relaxing environment. Having a whole hour every week without any expectations, to focus on the present and relax has really helped me. I have been visiting Selina’s meditation classes for nearly 8 months and apart from helping hugely with learning to calm a busy mind, they have been intrinsic in so many other ways. Can I say that I’m loving the sessions, I’m popping meditation into my day all the time, sometimes I wake up and do a body scan before getting out of bed! During the day I get in some breathing exercises & visualisations, I feel so much better, I hadn’t realised how previously my mind had been playing out such negative scenarios until they drastically reduced after starting your sessions.
